Size up, at least 2 sizes...

Just received these today, was planning to use them for my holiday party outfit but sadly they will not work.
I ordered up a size based on measurements and the recommendation, but sadly, they are still too small. Very tight in the thighs, and quite long (the length I can fix)
When we finally got the zipper up, it popped open. My husband had to help me with that and even just opening it before putting them on was tough. I managed to wiggle out of them and fix the zipper but now I'm terrified to put them on again.
Not what I expected, could size up further and hope for the best?
